Vietnam National Park Has The Largest Cave In The world!
Vietnam National Park – National parks in the world have attributes respectively, of the endangered animals to cool waterfall. But is this really makes travelers gobsmacked. Phong Nha National Park in Vietnam has the world’s largest cave.
Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park was remarkable. UNESCO world heritage site of the extent of 200 thousand hectares in the Truong Son, Quang Binh Province. Quoted from Vietnam Tourism, the main attraction of this park is the cave. There are 20 caves already explored the researchers and tourists. Total distance ranges up to 70 km. However, 4 of this cave is the most phenomenal:
1. Son Doong cave
Son Dong cave in Phong Nha National Park has been named as the largest cave in the world by the British Cave Research Association. The largest room in length 5 km, height 200 meters, width 150 meters. It’s like an underground city!
The cave was discovered by local residents in 1991. Previous residents frightened by the noises from inside the cave, which turned out to be an underground river.
2. Thien Duong caves
Now, if the Thien Duong Cave in Phong Nha National Park has been named as the longest cave in Asia. British Cave Research Association has been exploring to the end, it extends for 31 km. Imagine, the distance from Jakarta to Bogor.
Found local residents in 2005, the cave was opened for tourist visits since 2010. However, most tourists can only roam far 1.1 km into the cave. Nevertheless, it is enough to see the spectacular rock formations.
3. Tien Son cave
The draw of Tien Son cave in Phong Nha National Park, not big or length. But the interesting thing is, what rock formations travelers can be found in it. Discovered in 1935, this cave 980 meters in length. 400 meter safety first, but then there is a hole 10 meters, especially for travelers who are experts only.

4. Phong Na
This is the cave that is named the same as the national parks, they have been found since 1935. However, new travelers coming to this cave began in 1999, due to poor transport access to the area before. That’s why other caves are also cool in the new national park found just the last few years.
Phong Nha cave is also special, 7.7 km in length and has 14 grotto aka hole in the cave. Tourists only allowed in along the 1.5 km course. This cave also has an underground river along the 13.9 km. Very famous rock formation with nicknames such as ‘Lion’, ‘Fairy Caves’ (Fairy Cave), ‘Royal Court’ (Palace of page) and ‘Buddha’.
