New Smyrna Beach has a little bit of everything, satisfying everyone’s needs. After sunning, swimming or just plain relaxing on the beach, spend the rest of your afternoon meandering down Flagler Avenue or the historic Canal Street where you will find unique shops, farmers markets, several art galleries as well as many eateries.
New Smyrna Beach Surf Break
New Smyrna Beach are much nicer and New Smyrna actually has a good break for surfers if you are into that sort of thing.
New Smyrna Beach’s inlet is one of the most consistent surf spots in all of Florida. When most everywhere else is flat, there is usually a rideable wave at “the inlet”. While it is best on north swells, it can be equally as good with a straight east swell and wind direction. A hundred yards or more away from the rocks at the inet can also be fun on south swells.
During the summer time I must warn you though, it does get extremely crowded with not only surfers of all skill levels, but also with tourists on boogie boards. If you surf here in the summer time.
